- Open the Account tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Enter your password (and your 2FA code if you use one) and confirm.
On the website

Can't sign in?
Email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you and delete it within 30 days (usually the same day).
What happens, and when
- Right away: the account is deactivated — you're signed out everywhere, alerts and emails stop, and any paid plan is cancelled at Stripe or PayPal (no refund for the rest of the period; saved cards at Stripe are removed).
- For 30 days: signing in shows "Welcome back — reactivate?". Say yes and everything is back as it was (the paid plan stays cancelled; start a new one any time).
- After 30 days: the account and its data are permanently deleted. This can't be undone.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, sign-in details and every signed-in session on every device
- Price alerts, watchlist, imported trades and your Trading DNA
- Your sports journal, paper trades and support tickets
- The emails we logged sending you
What we keep, and why
- Invoices and billing records — kept for tax and accounting purposes (up to 7 years).
- A record of the account — your username, email, name, the dates you joined and left, your plan and billing history, and any unpaid balance or account issue. It is kept so we can settle anything outstanding, answer a dispute, and prevent fraud (for example, someone re-using an account with an unpaid balance). It is visible only to WhatToTrade staff and is never used for marketing.
- Usage totals — how much the AI and market-data features cost us, with your account removed from them.
Nothing else is retained. If you create a new account later with the same email, it starts from scratch — but we'll know it's you, and anything you still owed comes with it.
